The City of Atlanta October 31, 2013 ETH/316 The City of Atlanta: Demographics The City of Atlanta is a beautiful and captivating city. With great weather and a thriving economy itââ¬â¢s easy to fall in love with Atlanta. Atlantaââ¬â¢s population sits at 418,801 people (Atlanta Local Information, 2013). The majority of the people in Atlanta are either high income urban single, high income with high expense urban single or college students getting a higher education (Atlanta Local Information, 2013). The average age of a person living in Atlanta is 34 years old with 21.1% of the people being single women while 24.4% are single men (Atlanta Local Information, 2013). With most people focusing on a career the percentage of homes with kids isâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Atlanta residents also spend time year around enjoying college sports, which is a huge community based attraction in the city of Atlanta. How would you describe the responsibilities of the individuals to the community? Families in the city of Atlanta highly value education for their kids and community. Parents feel responsible to maintain their lawns and house upkeep to make sure they are up to par with the neighborhood standards. The parents feel responsible to get their kids into some kind of community sport or events to maintain the social connection between parents of the community. The community needs donations and volunteers for coaching and refereeing the local sports and individuals within the community usually take responsibility for this role. What are the communityââ¬â¢s responsibilities to the individuals? The community police and fire department holds their own car washes to support their community. The community must provide these individuals with the needed parks and recreations to support the needs of the individuals that live here. The community must take responsibility to provide a safe and comfortable environment for families to grow worry free of violence. Making recycle center available is the responsibility the community has to the individuals. Providing events, resources, and basic public needs of the individuals is the community responsibility.
